A Small Group gathers three to twelve people for a book led study and fellowship in a member's home.
Each group has a trained facilitator to promote a productive and fun atmosphere, as well as to participate. The purpose of Small Groups is to encourage relationships outside the church building and to grow togetherness as the group talks about faith. Each group determines the topic of study and parameters of the group.
Current studies will take a break from their normal studies as Small Groups Ministry joins the 40 Days of Purpose Campaign. When this campaign has concluded, Small Groups will continue their regular studies and meeting times.
Small Group Facilitators host and run each Small Group. While the facilitator may not be an expert in the topics studied, facilitators encourage discussion, keep the study on task, and lead the group through a self-guided book. In this setting, the Bible study operates through discussion.
Small Group Facilitator's training occurs every second Saturday of the month. Come here to learn how easy it is to be a facilitator and start your own group. Also keep up on your training and gain insight from these once a month meetings! |
