Under the leadership of our fulltime Youth and Family Director, Prince of Peace offers many opportunities for our children's education, spiritual growth, and fellowship.
The Prince of Peace Sunday School is dedicated to strengthening your child's walk with Jesus. We serve a broad range of ages - children from two years old through high school!
In our Sunday School, you’ll meet Gordy… an eight year-old puppet-boy, trying to navigate the same turbulent waters that our kids are. He struggles with bullying, playground politics, rites of passage, peer pressure, loneliness, respect for authority and most of the other PC issues clogging up our kid’s lives. Gordy’s roadmap through his weekly trials is God’s word, some good music and a well-needed laugh or two. He is the heart and soul of Kingdom Quest, our Sunday morning “edutainment” hour developed especially for our elementary-aged kids.
We also challenge the children to grow in the outward expression of their faith through service projects, which reach out to church members and to the community. Each year they support a mission or outreach that has a goal of making Jesus known to other children. Through our "handbell bootcamp" the children learn the basics of hand chime ringing, giving them the opportunity to learn beautiful music and to contribute to our worship services.
We begin each Sunday School session with our "Family Opening", dedicated to family interaction and friendship building through prayer and fun activities. We meet every Sunday from 9:45-10:30am. Join us, won't you?
Fine Arts Camp is another unique opportunity available to children from six to eleven years old. This camp teaches the love of Christ and Christian living through art, music, and drama are taught. For more information, click here. |
