Adult Ministry

Prince of Peace offers a number of opportunities for women, men and the seniors. These ministries focus on growing our relationships with each other, increasing our understanding of the Bible and our faith, and growing our relationship with the Lord.

Women's Ministry:
Women at Prince of Peace are heavily involved in carrying out the mission of Knowing Jesus Christ and Making Him Known!

Women's League
The Women's League desires to mobilize and connect women of the congregation. Twice each year, they work very hard serving our community with inexpensive clothing and goods through our rummage sale, while raising funds for the work of God's kingdom. The Women's League has also been responsible for social gatherings like Advent by Candlelight and salad suppers.

Bible Studies
Bible Studies exclusively for women currently meet at 9:00am every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturday of the month and beginning January 4, each Wednesday at 7:00pm. Knowing Jesus Christ can only happen through a consistent connection with Him through His word.

Special Events
In the past, Prince of Peace women have attended special women's conferences. To check the upcoming schedule for such events, contact us.

Service Opportunities
Women serve at Prince of Peace in a variety of ways - hospitality team, greeters, readers, ushers, Altar Guild members, arranging flowers in the sanctuary, singing in the choir, Sunday School and Children's Church teachers, nursery workers, board and committee members, and much more. Have an area of interest? Let us know and we'll get you involved. Contact us here.

Men's Ministry:
Men at Prince of Peace take seriously the mission of Knowing Jesus Christ and Making Him Known.

Bible Study
Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, men meet together at 8:00am for prayer and study. Once a month during the summer, this time is followed with a friendly round of golf at one of our local courses.

Recreational Opportunities
In addition to the golf (see above) a number of Prince of Peace men (and their guests) enjoy basketball in our Fellowship Hall in the winter time. For dates and times, contact us or see the calendar.

Service Opportunities
We value the service of our men as ushers, elders, welcomers, involvement in choir, Sunday School teachers, board and committee members and more. We also look to our men (and women) to provide help with minor renovation, repair and landscaping projects around the church. Have an area of interest? Contact us and we'll get you involved.

Senior's Ministry:
Once a month, our Seniors can be found gathering for an outing of fun and adventure! In the past, they've gone on various tours of industrial sites, visited museums, played putt-putt golf, gone to concerts and had picnics, just to name a few. They enjoy close friendships and are there for each other, just as a caring community should be. Contact us with specific questions about the Seniors program.

Financial Studies:
Small Group Financial Studies is a 10 week study designed for adults of all ages and all economic background. The study teaches what scripture says about money and possessions. Topics include: Getting out of debt; Spending' Saving and investing; Budgeting; Giving; Earning money; Training Children. Graduates have confirmed that marriages are strengthened, their handling of money improves and best of all, they enter into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ as they study and apply His word.

The group meets 2 hours every week. Study requirements: Daily prayer for each member of your group; memorize one assigned scripture each week; complete weekly homework assignments. There is a fee for materials.
